Summer is quickly approaching and plans are being made. If you need some inspiration on what to do, look no further than your hometown. A lot of people might feel as though Kuna does not have many activities for all ages, but all they need to do is look a little deeper. There are plenty of things that are fun for everyone.

Lavender Festival

Lavender is used for all sorts of things, from cleaning cuts to helping you relax. Now, you can experience lavender in a whole new way. This summer, on July 8th and 9th, The Lavender Merchant will be hosting a festival. You can visit the herb fields when they are in full bloom, which is the perfect time to pick a bouquet of the sweet smelling plant.  Not only can you pick lavender, but you can also purchase lavender scented soaps, sugar scrubs, lavender linen spray, and more! Other vendors will also be selling their merchandise. Lunch will be catered by Sophie’s Choice Design, and there will even be lavender desserts, lemonade, and other specialties.

Idaho Botanical Garden

Do you love flowers or nature walks? The Idaho Botanical Garden has just the thing for you! On Thursday April 27th, the Idaho Botanical Garden is hosting an annual flower walk with Ann Debot, the garden staff botanist, and other plant experts. The walk will take place at 6:30pm, and walkers will meet at the Idaho Botanical Garden Administrative Building at 2355 Old Penitentiary Road. The walk is free, but you must register online at idahobotanicalgarden.com, or call at 208-343-8649. It is suggested to bring a light jacket and good walking shoes. Unfortunately,  dogs aren’t allowed.

Kuna Days

The smell of funnel cakes is in the air, kids are squealing as they play, and music is blaring from speakers around you. Every August, Kuna Days is the biggest shindig in town.This year, it will be held on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th. It is held at the Kuna Park, where vendors set up tents and booths to sell their merchandise.
