Dream Class at KHS

Everyone has that one class they wish their school taught, ranging from fashion design to economics. Often times, the class people dream of is nothing like the class they most enjoy already. It’s time for the big question, what are the classes students at KHS wish the school taught?

The most commonly asked for class to be taught at KHS was American Sign Language, or ASL. Culinary classes, dance, marine biology, self defense, forensics and law enforcement were also widely asked for. Different history, fitness and art variations were also common.

One of the reasons behind the wish of having an ASL class is that all languages are important but people who have hearing impairments find it more difficult because when people learn a different language they stick with a verbal one. Teaching people ASL could help diminish the language barrier they face. As for history, one of the most common asked for variations of it was for them to learn about a specific person. A class about discovering who historical figures really were not just their accomplishments and downfalls.
