Kacie Andrus '20

Hi my name is Kacie Andrus and I am a freshman at Kuna High School. I am so excited to be a part of newspaper because I will have the opportunity to write about what I love most: sports.

I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and softball. I enjoy sports because they get me in good shape and they push my athletic ability. In addition to sports, I have followed in all of my sibling’s footsteps and have been playing the piano for almost ten years now. Some things that I love are both of my Golden Retrievers, my family members, and my friends. I have five siblings, four brothers and one sister, and I love each and every one of them. When I graduate from high school, I want to attend BYU just like all of my siblings. All of my family members have gone to and graduated from BYU. One of my brothers went to BYU and graduated from BYU, and is attending graduate school at Stanford University. Two of my brothers wrote for The Echo, but my sister and my brother were the Editors. Having heard them talk about newspaper, I had an idea of what they did, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of it. I don’t know what I want to do when I grow up, but I like writing so I thought newspaper would be a perfect opportunity to see if I really like it. Growing up, I always thought there was just sports to participate in at Kuna High School.  Kuna has a lot more activities than just sports so I am also excited to write about those clubs and activities. Newspaper gives me an opportunity to learn more about my school and the events that occur. I look forward to see what this year brings so that I can write in The Echo and you can read all about it.
